Today we’re excited to launch the open beta of Uno for Chrome and Apple platforms (iOS & macOS). We’ve been iterating on the product quietly for several months and want to officially open the doors to early adopters willing to work with us to craft Uno into the most lovable password manager possible. We’re need your feedback to help dial in the product. If you’ve been waiting in the wings to give Uno a spin, get started by installing our browser extension.

If you’re new and wondering what Uno is all about, keep reading below.

Uno in a Nutshell

We’re woking hard to address the complaint that, “it’s really frustrating and cumbersome to keep track of all your online logins and identities”. It’s no joke to remember all the different emails and passwords you use on a daily basis across your work, school, and personal lives. We’ve designed Uno to organize all that information for you so you can stay focused on the things you care about.

You may have heard of a password manager before, know a few people that use one, or use one yourself. Uno’s app is a similar concept. However, with Uno, your online experience is the focus. Better security is simply a nice bonus.

How does Uno make your life easier?

  • Uno remembers information you commonly need to type in online, like login details, addresses, and credit card information. Then, when you need to use this information to log in or checkout, Uno provides it on the spot and will even autofill text fields and magically log you in.
  • Uno surfaces useful information from your email inbox as you need it. When a website asks you to “verify your new device” by emailing you a code every time you log in, or when an online retailer sends you a discount code during a sale or promotion, Uno will display the code as soon as it arrives in your inbox so you don’t have to switch tabs back and forth.
  • Uno doesn’t require a password to use so you’ll never have to remember one again. Instead Uno leverages more convenient biometric authorization (like fingerprint and facial scanning) to keep your account safe. If you ever lose access, Uno asks people on your list of trusted contacts to allow you to log back in.

Of course Uno does a lot of small things here and there too, like remembering if you chose to use Sign In With Google or Apple on a given site, and serving as a virtual authenticator app, so check it out to get the full idea.
